Dear Colleagues and Students,
In response to local COVID-19 development, the Macao SAR entered a state of immediate prevention. Following the guidance released by the DSEDJ, CityU campuses have been closed, and all face-to-face classes and activities have been suspended starting today (19) until further notice. All ongoing courses will adopt online classes, and all postgraduate oral defences will be postponed.
Students and staff are urged to reduce non-essential outings. Cross-border students are advised to refrain from coming back to Macao.
The Macao government has announced the fourth city-wide Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT) for the whole population. From 12 pm on 19 June to 12 pm on 21 June, all staff and students residing in Macao must participate in the NAT upon appointment. The sign-up system opened from 9 am today. Meanwhile, CityU urges all students and staff to take preventative measures and reduce mobility to lower the risk of transmission of novel coronavirus; stay tuned and implement all COVID-19 preventive measures introduced by the SAR government; and scan the Venue Code introduced by the authorities and follow the management measures when entering the venues.
CityU encourages all eligible students and staff to receive the vaccination as soon as possible, maintain good health self-management, and seek medical consultation once feeling unwell. We appreciate your kind cooperation! Thank you!
Best Regards,
Rector’s Office
